TDA Healthy Community Network

The Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) Health Community Network (HCN) connects elected officials throughout the state who are committed to improving wellness throughout their communities TDA is in the initial stages of recruiting members. As a member, officials receive:
 
·         Strategies for leveraging F&N Programs and initiatives in order to further advance their local initiatives
·         State-wide recognition for outstanding efforts
·         Data for assessing the local impact of federally funded nutrition programs
·         TDA issued wellness challenges
·         Direct access to information about available grants, strategies for making agriculture part of health initiatives, a newsletter, etc. 
 
Joining is easy and free. To join, an elected official needs to fill out and submit the online form located at www.SquareMeals.org/JoinHCN. Once a member, your name and location will populate on the “participant” map located www.squaremeals.org and you will automatically be signed up to receive the monthly HCN newsletter.
