Free Webinar: Discharge Monitoring Reports – Avoiding Common Mistakes

EPA is conducting a free webinar on reporting for small wastewater treatment systems on July 15, 2020, from noon to 3:00 p.m.

Who Should Register?

If you are a National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permittee required to submit discharge monitoring reports (DMRs) you should attend if any of the following apply to you or your system:

  • Your system has been in violation recently due to reporting errors.
  • You are new to DMR reporting.
  • You want to improve your understanding of DMR preparation and reporting.

Others who will find the webinar informative include technical assistance providers, permit writers, and compliance staff from states, tribes and U.S. EPA.

What Will I Learn?

This webinar will show you how to calculate typical permit parameters from sampling data, including weekly and monthly averages, monthly flow, and pollutant load. It will also cover common issues such as how to use non-detects, round numbers, and proper unit conversions.

The second part of the webinar will be helpful if you submit data using NetDMR. This section will cover common issues in setting up and maintaining a Central Data Exchange (CDX) account and offer other resources. You will be able to ask questions via a chat box.
