The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is presenting a series of technical assistance webinars to highlight best practices for troubleshooting noncompliance at small wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs).
Alkalinity testing can reveal one of the main causes of ammonia noncompliance and allow WWTPs to make adjustments before violations occur. Attendees will learn how to fine-tune their systems using relatively simple process control tools and methods and return their system to compliance. While all plant operators can benefit from this information, this webinar is geared toward operators of smaller systems with flow of less than 1 million gallons per day. Attendees will be able to ask questions via a chat box.
