Don’t Miss out on Funding from the Texas Emissions Reduction Program

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has a large amount of grant funding available to help reduce air pollution from older vehicles and heavy equipment.  The North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) urges all organizations with vehicle or equipment fleets in the North Texas area to consider applying to these programs.  NCTCOG staff is available to provide FREE assistance with application completion or a preliminary fleet evaluation to identify potential grant projects.  Contact AQgrants@nctcog.org or 817-695-9249.

Details on available funding programs are as follows:

TERP Emissions Reduction Incentive Grants (ERIG) – Deadline 1/10/17
Vehicle/Equipment Replacements, Engine Repowers, Idle-Reduction, etc.
Up to 80% Funding, Maximum of $15k/Ton

TERP Texas Natural Gas Vehicle Grant Program (TNGVGP) – Deadline 5/26/17
Replace Existing Diesel/Gasoline Vehicles with Natural Gas
Up to 90% of Incremental Cost, Standardized Amounts Range from $6,000-$90,000

TERP Drayage Truck Incentive Program (DTIP) – Deadline 5/26/17
Replace heavy-duty on-road or non-road vehicles used at the BNSF Alliance Intermodal Facility, KCS Wylie Intermodal Facility, UP Mesquite, or UP Dallas Intermodal Terminal
Up to 80% of eligible costs, limited by a pre-set grant amount determined by TCEQ, whichever is less
