The Texas Legislature and How it Works

The website of the Texas Legislature at http://www.capitol.state.tx.us is an extensive website that will give you a “user friendly” insight into the Texas Legislature.

A glance at some of the information on the website includes:

•    Senate and House Districts: How to contact your legislator, etc.  (Refer to the "Who Represents Me" box)
•    About the Texas Legislative Process
•    Legislation (current and historical)  Hint:  Remember to put in which session you are interested in, otherwise it
automatically defers to the last session.)
•    Live Broadcasts from the Senate and House floor chambers and occasional committee hearings
